Youth Sports
The City’s Youth Sports program encourages children to have fun, be active, learn new skills, and feel good about participating in youth sports. We strive to provide enjoyable sports programs for children, regardless of their athletic ability. Our program is about developing self-esteem and good sportsmanship through meaningful and fair sports competitions.
Check back throughout the year to keep in the loop as new programs are offered.

TBall / Machine Pitch - Spring 2026
Patriot Athletic League is now enrolling players for the 2026 spring season. Families can register online and choose the division that fits their player’s age and readiness. Our focus is simple: a fun, safe, and development-first baseball experience for young athletes.
Playing Divisions
Lil Slugger (Age 4)
Ideal for first-time players learning how to throw, catch, swing, and run the bases. Meets once a week in uniform for a combined practice and light scrimmage. Parent involvement is encouraged to keep learning active and fun.
T-Ball (Ages 5–6)
Played on a 60-foot diamond. Players hit from a tee and learn basic defensive positions and game flow. Expect one practice and one game each week. Coaches emphasize confidence, teamwork, and simple fundamentals.
Machine Pitch – AA (Ages 7–8)
Also on a 60-foot diamond. A pitching machine provides consistent strikes to help hitters develop timing and contact skills. Players begin learning true gameplay: throwing mechanics, glove work, base running, and simple situational awareness. Teams typically have two to three practices/games per week.
Season Timeline
- Practices start around the third week of March.
- Regular season runs mid-April through June 13 (Championship Saturday).
- No practices or games Memorial Day Weekend (Friday through Monday).
- Coaches will share specific team schedules and field assignments in early March.

50/70 diamond with full baseball rules including leading and stealing. Interleague play may require travel to Thurston County.
Junior Ball (13–15 years old)
