  • The DuPont Police Department has a drop box in their lobby for unused or unwanted pharmaceuticals. The lobby is open to the public Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

  • The DuPont Police Department does not issue concealed pistol permits but you can obtain one through the South Sound 911 Regional Records system.

  • The DuPont Fire Department sells bicycle helmets at numerous events throughout the year and at the DuPont Fire Station any day of the week between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The cost of a bicycle helmet is $11.00.

  • Three firefighters, including a paramedic, are typically on duty at all times and available for response to medical aid calls, fire suppression calls, and service calls. Phone calls to the DuPont Fire Department at (253) 964-8414 may go to an answering machine if the on-duty crew is out of the station. Leave a message with a return number and your call will be returned as soon as possible. For emergencies, call 9-1-1.

  • A form will need to be filled out to start service, it is located here online.  To stop service, click online for a form. 

    If you are moving from one DuPont property to another, you will need to fill out two forms: one for the home being vacated and the second form for the new home.

  • The water billing cycle is bi-monthly. The bill is due on the 20th of the odd month. If you do not receive your bill after the first week of the odd month, please contact us. 

    Our utility billing is based on location so no, the due date cannot be changed.

  • Water & Stormwater rates can be found here on the city's website. 

    All new renters are also charged a $100 deposit which can only be waived by the owner/ property manager. This $100 will be applied to your final bill with the remaining balance refunded to you.

    During summer months, expect a higher bill due to the usage of irrigation and sprinkler systems. If you suspect that there may be a leak on your property due to a substantially higher bill, please give us a call.

  • You can sign up for Auto Pay, make a one-time payment online, visit City Hall, or you can also drop your payment in check form within the utility drop box (NO cash in the drop box, please!) which is located along the City Hall Parking Lot by the Sequalitchew Creek Trailhead.

    • A past due notice will be sent to your address on 1st of the month following the original due date. 
    • A disconnection letter will be mailed to the service address on the 1st of the month following your past due notice. 
    • Seven calendar days after the issuance of the disconnection letter, your water will be shut off and the account locked. You will need to pay the full balance on the account plus a re-connection fee of  $25. Note: this is following a whole billing cycle and therefore the amount owed will comprise two billing cycles.

  • No, because our billing cycles are based on location and we cannot combine bills. You an add them to your online profile when you register your account for auto-pay.
